Meet Shelby, the SLP

Shelby Ford, MS, CCC-SLP is a certified pediatric speech-language pathologist based in New Jersey who specializes in speech sound disorders. She is the founder of Shelby the SLP, a boutique private practice serving Hudson and Morris Counties. Shelby brings therapy to wherever families need it most, including homes, schools, and daycares, with a focus on sessions that are engaging, functional, and grounded in real progress.​

Outside of direct therapy, Shelby is a nationally recognized speaker who has presented at both state and ASHA-affiliated conferences. She is also a recipient of ASHA’s Early Career Professional Award. Shelby creates practical, evidence-based resources for SLPs through Teachers Pay Teachers, including her top-selling Speech Sound Elicitation Guide, and is a published author with Bjorem Speech Publications. She regularly shares tips, tools, and insights with a growing community of parents and clinicians on Instagram and TikTok @shelbytheslp.
